ANSR-26 Video

A set of video captures from the on board DV (Digital Video) camcorder.  The DV camcorder is a new ANSR payload designed and built by Steve (KD7VRB), Louis (W7LMW), and Joe (KB7RMZ).  The bottom portion of the frame is a close up of the foam used to insulate the package.  For future flight, a video monitor will be used in the field to verify the camera is pointed correctly.

Just after lift off.  Note the size of the balloon and sky color as compared to the next photo. In this video capture, you are looking up towards the Payload Computer and its cross band antenna. The Payload Computer includes a cross band, voice repeater.

Less than 1 second before burst at 96,110 feet.

Within seconds after the burst, the parachute is inflated and the ride begins.  Small pieces of balloon latex liter the video frame.  Note the black of near space.

Very wild ride on the way down.  The camera that was designed to face up, is facing the horizon.

The Pico Beacon, that flew below the DV camcorder, swings into view above the camera.
