| Track Flight
The following are the standard payloads that are part of all flights.
Internet Tracking
Position reports are transferred to the Internet and a flight may be tracked with a standard web browser. The following Internet sites collect APRS data world wide, saves it in a data base, and allows users to view and map the data in real-time. The site provided updated position information every two to three minutes.

Recommended - This is the newest website that integrates APRS data with Google Maps updated in real-time. When you first connect to the site, it will ask for your callsign or nickname. This is not a spam or scam site. They just use the information to track usage and to remember your settings if you utilize multiple computers.

findU is a database archiving weather, position, telemetry, and message data. The primary source of data is an amateur radio system called APRS, some weather data comes from an internet based system called the Citizen Weather Observer Program. This large (58 GB) database is constantly updated (about 20 new reports come in every second), and is accessed via a number of dynamic web pages. |

aprsworld is unique from other APRS databases like findu.com in that all of the software I use is Open Source and is available to anyone interested in learning from it. |
Cross Band Repeater - FM Voice

APRS - Telemetry
Plain text telemetry message. Telemetry is a data report provided by the Payload Computer and Pico Beacon that shows the current operational status. The report provides plain text information. The following is an actual flight status message and its data elements. >ANSR 01:39:08 94386' 1031'/min 1.1pdop 8.4V 32.2F 34.5F -1.5F | Telemetry | Description | | > | Standard AX.25 symbol to indicate this is an APRS status message. | | ANSR | Standard project identifier. ANSR - Arizona Near Space Research | | 01:39:08 | Flight time in hours, minutes, and seconds. This flight has been aloft 1 hour, 39 minutes, and 8 seconds. | | 94386' | Current altitude in feet. | | 1031'/min | Ascent/descent rate in feet per minute where a positive number represents an ascent. | | 1.1pdop | GPS Horizontal Dilution of Position. HDOP/PDOP is used to determine the accuracy of the current GPS solution. An HDOP/PDOP of 3.0 or less indicates the GPS accuracy is very good. The HDOP/PDOP is provided in the telemetry string to determine what happens if the payload is tumbling after a balloon burst or if the package lands in an unusual attitude.
If the units suffix 'hdop' is shown, the GPS fix is provided in 2D (no altitude) mode.
If the unit suffix 'pdop' is shown, the GPS fix is provided in 3D (altitude) mode. | | +8.4v | Battery voltage in DC volts. | | 32.2F | Internal payload computer temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. | | 34.5F | Radio base plate temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. | | -1.5F | External temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. |
The following is the standard telemetry report provided by the Pico Beacon.
